I agree, here's hoping it warms up for the weekend so I can post a picture of a fish and me. The last fish picture John sent to me, was a big Musky or Northern Pike, I'm not sure. |

I wasn't sure I'd be able to catch my second fish for January, but as soon as the sun came out, 3 crappie hit almost on successive casts. I missed 3 others, and the 4th finally came in despite the cloud cover returning. So I'm at 5 fish for 2013. I caught 3 on a husk jerk, a small one, HJ-6 in glass minnow. The last came in on a little tiny crankbait that looked like a minature Big-O. I got this last lure, when I caught a tackle box trolling in a local lake. I posted 3 pics on the 2013 Fishing tie thread. |

Yea , this is some crazy weather. Just Sunday we were fishing on 5 inches of ice. Then we had 60's on Tue and wed, today it is 20. It was nice to have that warm weather, but I am sure that between the warmup, an inch of rain and 30 to 40 mph winds the ice is safe any more. |

Those are awesome. I fished Saturday and caught some dying weeds and a stick. Not much fun. |

Found three more nice Steelhead today. This big boy measured 35" with 18.5' girth. The rivers are in great shape this week and should hold through next week. Temps have been pretty nice lately (40's-50's) and the water has warmed up a little as well, so the fish are getting some sas. This guy jst wanted to stay on the bottom, but the other two today did a few cartwheels. JustDave |

I was able to turn a cancelled band practice and early ride home (gave blood, couldn't go to track practice) into one helluva catch today. 15 inch (FAT) brook trout on a Lil Jake spoon on 4# Nanofil. Had to fight her for a long time considering she hit like a ton of bricks less than a handle turn after my first cast hit the water. Second trout all time and second fish of this year. Actually lucky I didn't pass out from heart pounding and missing a pint of blood Supposed to be in the 50s all week in my neck of the woods, spring is finally here and I'll definitely be doing a LOT of fishing!! |

Awesome Skewl! I've been dying to go fishing. Usually I go out on Good Friday, but I volunteered to be the starter for my daughter's high school swim team. I was fishless in Feb due to weather and conflicts. I didn't even make it to the water. March is looking better, if I can catch on Easter, then you're right! Spring should be here and the real fishing should begin. I'm so glad you caught something, it makes me happy knowing somebody's been out. |

Caught a smalll mess of crappie and bluegills at Grand Lake yesterday. Sure was nice to get out after all the cold wet weather we have had this March. |
