He, he, he,
Got one yesterday.  Pic won't insert so you'll just have to take my word on it.  Came away with no pain.

Let's keep it up Dave! On Friday, that is.
But the topic is 'Who caught a fish today' and I did, I did!! Actually two- nice little 'bows about 12-14". Wasn't hard, they're pretty easy when they're freshly stocked. They came out of Kitsap Lake- about 5 miles from my house. I just dragged (drug?) a 1/16 brown Rooster Tail around for a couple hours. Nice way to kill two hours though!
Now for some steelhead!!

The lake looked great this morning...really thought I was gonna get on the fish...but only managed 4 little bass between 10 and 14 inches. Three on a black spinnerbait and one clobbered a chartreuse/black back Bill Norman little N.

What a show off Mo.
What lake might that be?It seems my Bro-In-Law is moving from Florida to Tennessee. I was looking forward to fishing in FL when I visit him but now I guess I'll have to try TN. Maybe I'll get to post here again when I do!

I hooked and landed a 15 lb. Spoonbill on Sat afternoon around 4 P M. Would have taken a photo, but the poor thing had its paddle nose cracked & broken. Caught it on an 8 1/2 ft. 2 pc. Abu-Garcia MAXXAR Fly Rod converted over to a Spinning rod. And it was caught on 6 lb. test line. My reel drag and anti reverse [as well as me ] got a real workout with this fish until we got it into a Dip net.

It was caught below Harry S. Truman Dam at Warsaw, MO. in a no Catch/Keep area for Spoonbill. The guy who netted it for me called The Mo. Dept. of Conservation asking if we should release such an injured fish. The person Stated "YES' as Spoonbill can survive without their Paddled nose. I wonder what they eat / feed on?

What type of lure or bait were you using scasteel? That should give a clue to their diet.

It was just one of those days that don't happen very often . JOHN

Well guys...tried a new lake today...Lake Rupert. It is a shallow lake with rocky shorelines, Coontail, small pads, and grass but not much wood. I tried several things today, but the only thing that worked was a Mightybug rigged Texas style. I caught two shorties, a 13 inch, and a 17 incher.

MO65... I caught the Spoonbill on artificial ,... a 1 1/2 in natural looking Shimmey shad on a 1/16th oz. leadhead. I have never researched the Spoonbill to see what they eat in their watery homes.
