What extra does the Trophy membership get you? When I signed up there was only Life Members and "Pay as you go" members. Now they added this Trophy Level.

Hey All:
Those postcards some of you received were meant to try to determine who among the LMs is no longer an active participant in the NAFC anymore, either by choice or (let's face it) because they aren't around anymore. The cards were aimed at folks we haven't heard from in a few years. Did somebody get one that shouldn't have? I'm sure that happened. Even computers make mistakes, after all. If you received a card, just go online, or make the call and let us know you're still in. Then, toss it and get back to fishing.

I am also a life member.  I'm also a life member of BASS, AMA, ABATE of Az, & HOG.  NAFC is the only one I've heard of that wants life members to renew their membership.  ROFL.

I also have not received any field test items in several years, and I never got anything good to try even when I did.

I do have a letter somewhere that says it has important information about my life member benefits.  I suppose I better go dig it out so I can ateast continue to receive my magazine.  Gotta have something for the bathroom since Sears doesn't send out catalogs anymore.

Hey, just to help you out, that letter might tell you that you need to update your "Product Testing Profile." If you don't resubmit your profile after you receive a test product then you won't get anything new to test! You should definitely dig out that piece of paper dude!

Well, I just dug it out of my stack of read later mail. Turned out to be a junk mail to upgrade to a "trophy" life membership.

Well guys, I too am a long time life member (1996) and also upgraded to Trophy Life Member status. I have received the promised bonus gifts and such and I have "field tested" a cool topwater bait many years ago. I remember getting it right before a family (fun) fishing trip to Minnesota. When it came I thought the lure was much too big to be effective on our little lake, but I gave it a go anyway. It was awesome!!! I caught a 6# Walleye (on a topwater bait) and more than a few good sized largemouth bass that week. The only thing I noticed was I had no way to send my "field test" results to the club. I really think the "field test" idea is to bait us fishermen and women to feel there is a "value added" aspect to the club. I enjoy reading and playing with the on-line stuff, it keeps me interested in those nasty winter months. Keep up the Faith!! Remember a bad day fishing (or being part of this club) beats a good day working!!

I have been a member of B.A.S.S. 29 years and a Life Member 28 years. Aside from the lure package I received when I paid off my life membership dues and my monthly magazines I have not received any gifts from them. I get an offer to buy their yearly planners once a year which I get because I like the format of the planner. I have been a life member of NAFC for about 4 years now and for the most part I have been satisfied with my membership after working out a few bugs with them. I have received all the promised gifts I was told I would get and other good stuff. I do get annoyed with the repeated offers for Trophy Life Memberships. Items I have ordered have arrived earlier than promised and in good shape. Ha ha ha. I am not a robot plugging for NAFC.

Heh, I'm a brand new member and got an email offering me "discounted Life Member" dues. Now that I've read this, I think I'll just wait and see what happens.

MR BANKS
They usually apply what you have already paid yearly membership to your life member ship .
I STRONGLY URGE YOU TO GO LIFE . the benafits they mention are marginal at best . BUT THE TRUE VALUE OF THIS CLUB IS THE MEMBERS
YOU will never find such a great group of folks . use chat use the web sight use face book make as many friends as you can that is were the club shines the most with its ability to connect you to other people that love what you love . I have bartered, traded , received. given ,tout ,learned, stayed out of town , been guided , all because of the friends i have made .
The members here are the best .

I fear that one day the club will just shut down the entire site without notice and merely rely on Facebook instead. Its not too far fetched if you think about it. They don't care about this site. With the departure of Web Guy Greg, this site is like a town in the old west without a marshal.

I highly dought it and here is why, ADVERTISEMENT space, why did they go to face book it was smart business.
more customers = more folks to see the adds . Just a different revenue source . The more folks that belong to and get the NAFC MAG the more folks want there adds placed in my mag and the more They can charge for those adds to be placed. JUST SMART BUSINESS.

Hello desert rat, every time you up date your feild test profile it puts you on the bottom of the list ( or thats what i have been told ) so you migth want to wait until you get something to test before you change your profile. JOHN
