I currently ran across some "self dehooking" hooks from sheltonproducts.com. It  is a barbless circle hook which has a second line tied to an eyelet on the hook. You pull the second line and it twists the hook upward releasing the fish. I was wondering if anyone has ever tried these hooks. My concern is the "barbless" part. I know it is originally used to keep bait on the hook, but I know some flipping fish that would have gotten away if not for the barb. I fish stocked trout in a river averaging about 9" but have pulled a few above 12". They tend to swallow the hook and it snags thier insides. It is usually the ones I would put back but am unable to as they die from trying to unhook them. Any fishermen try these yet?
