I am putting the finishing touches on my 12 ft. v-hull that I purchased from the scrap yard I used to work at for 90 dollars (Boat and Trailer in great condition ; ) ) I am wondering if anyone has ever used leak seal (the spray rubber sealant) on their boats to add a little extra waterproof seal?? If so, how did it work and how long does it last? I've heard a few good things. I am planning to mark off the areas I want to seal with painters tape and put a sleek good looking water stopper on the boat. Any opinions/suggestions?? Thanks in advance. Tight Lines!!

i helped a friend do that to a jon boat about 15 years ago we done inside & out we ran into problems when we would beach it (aluminum) the rubber would skin the it leaked that stuff may be better today so it might work if you do it i`d recommend etching the alum. some way to get a good adhesion

I had a friend who had an older boat and sprayed the outside with the spray or roll on truck bedliner it seemed to adhere well and looks real nice. I would try that first because it is very durable.

Depend on what leaking , if it rivets get a buddy around to hold a peice of steel on one side while up wack the rivet for the orther side with a hammer and punch...... then check again for leaks if any remark and use a two part resin put on both sides. I did this with a old jon boat that came out real good BUT not pretty........if you use the bedliner becarful not to use two much because of weight of that product.

I've used that seen on TV stuff and truck bed liner. Both work GREAT and they're paintable. I got it sprayed inside my 50 dollar jon boat.(that boat leaked like a siev before I sprayed it on. The as seen on tv stuff flows better than truck bed liner. but it's alot more expensive than restolium.
