Didn't last too long, guess evryone gone fishing. If anyone wants to know they are catching lots of bass on cranks, rattletraps, and the good old Alabama rig on Kentucky lake and some on Lake Barkley. Some fish are already on the beds, a lot are in transition and scattered. Crappy bite is also good on both lakes, with the larger ones being taken on Kentucky

Same old stuff just a different day. Trying to get caught up on yard work and stuff. My son wants me to go over with him to Rivers End and see if the big cats are around yet. He sure loves catchin them. I think his biggest to date is 17 pounds. I must say they are fun to catch and taste darn good all fried up.

I forgot you ain't really from around here, Jim. A fiddler is a subspecies of channel cat usually around one to three pounds. They have spots on the belly and sides, and they are fantastic table fare. You can also sometimes catch white catfish in that same area, and they get really big (also a type of channel cat)

My truck, is in the repair shop. So, for now, my boat is grounded. It is about 7 miles from here, to rivers end. I may, sneak my wifes car. And, try some shore fishing. As soon, as the truck is ready. I will be back on the water. Likely, below the dam. It, is not as crowded, down there. I will also, go to Smith's, and Sugar Bays. I plan on some night, fishing this summer. Using the new jugs, I made last winter. I call them, Noodle Jugs. Do not know, what others call them.

Hey Sam.  Do you live out around this area?  You didn't happen to be out at Rivers End Tuesday afternoon did you?  My son, daughter-in-law, and myself were out there.  Didn't do to good. Son and I each caught a couple small (6 inch) white bass and 2 turtles on crawlers.  Went back yesterday and not one darn bite.  Go figure.  Last year at this time we were catching real nice cats off the rocks.  Don't know where the heck they are now though.
