I am not sure how the elk hair cadis is going to ride in the water . My goal was for it to ride low , you can trim the hackle if need be .

Wow! Great looking work guys...especially that grasshopper by Ol J.W. That is something I bet the bluegill and bass here would go nuts over, I've had great success with live ones. Hey J.W.,could you sell me a few of those?
Ashes to ashes, dust to dust, if it wasn't for my super smooth carbon drag, my 30 year old Trilene would bust!

Glad to hear ya'll like these flies.Just goes to show what a fly swap can produce from the members we have! Keep the comments coming,
mo65, look for your PM. That's a Tomsu's Supreme Hopper , being foam, floats great, an yes it's quite the fish catcher, I'm strickly warm water, but it should be good for trout as well.
    Thanks to all.

Great kob guys!! We have a caddis hatch going on right now. I see myself using all of these flies for different applications. Cant wait to get them. OI J.W. the slump buster I tied will deffinately work in warm water as well. Bass will eat it up.

I look forward to using the flies from Tallcrane1, Rodtosser, Hdsmokey and a few others in my local river for our feisty rainbows. As for the rest, I can think of other great locations nearby that they would certainly work in. Thanks for the tying, guys.

Trouinator, Fish the Slump-buster I tied like you would fish a woolly bugger. It's a slayer for trout on my home waters.

Got the flies today. Man, they are ALL so great!!!

Thanks OL JW for hosting this swap. It was a lot of fun,
and just what I needed to get me in the swing of things again.

If at first you don't succeed, maybe you shouldn't try sky diving!

Yes, that would certainly work in our waters.  My daughter has been getting into some fatties with her bugger stripping the last couple of outings.  She (or I) would certainly put that fly to good use this weekend, assuming we get out onto the water.

I tie one similar to the swamp buster except i don't weight it ,I use a  4x size 2 streamer hook .
you will get great action from that fly in the water. works great for bass kinda like fishing a plastic worm .

Happy to see the comments coming in.This swap really turned out.Hopefully we've got it across for others in the club who tie or are thinking of trying to tie, it's a great way to spent some of the cold winter nights or when you just can't get to the waters edge.!

This is a great bunch of flies. I can't wait to get 'em wet! If we drum up enough interest before next year you can count me in. I'm always up for a NAFC swap!

Yea ol jw really done a great job on the hopper . Brian a lot of these patterns you probably will be able to tie after you classes most are simple ties , but they are very effective .
