Just curious who will be at the Hollows this Saturday?

Gates open a 6am. Lots of trout to catch J

I personally never fished the first Saturday, but I know it’s a mad house

 

Did anyone get out for the opener anywhere in Il today? Just wondering how it went. I'll head out on Monday. Crowds are lighter.

They stocked em at Belleau Lake in Cook County too

I hit the Hollows (Lk Atwood) on Sun, and there were plenty of anglers but not many fish being caught. Anyone do better someplace else?

I would have started a new thread for this, but I am unable to start a new topic for some reason. Anyone else have plans to hit the Hollows or another of the Lake/McHenry/northern Cook spots? I am undecided. While I live a very short distance from the Hollows, my son lives down the street from Axehead Lake and my experience is that axehead tends to be a bit less crowded. Anyone got any input on the conditions at Banana Lake in Lake Cty?

Well, today was the opener but due to a death in the family I was unable to go. Anyone have a report?
