We went steelhead fishing on the Grand River recently.  Never saw any steelhead, but I landed my first ever walleye, a few pounds worth.  Since its out of season, it got released for another day.  Now I understand why you guys go out for walleye so often.  They're beautiful fish.

    SeaKat,

Congrats on the 'eye! You're right, they are great fish. What did you catch it on?

I made an in-line spinner that's mostly copper colored with some salmon-pink beads. Bought the supplies from D&B Fishing at the outdoor show in Grand Rapids a couple of weeks ago.

Yes. I was above Webber dam a little way, between the shore and an island. It was in probably 4-5 feet of water and strong current.
