I get out of class around 1130 during the week and me and my roommate go for catfish right after... We started going about 2 weeks ago and the first week we didnt do half bad off chicken liver. Now all we can get is fish playing with our liver and stealing it over and over again, we even caught a couple sunfish off the liver... We used cut up blue gill last night and didnt get anything and our liver was just getting stolen again... we have been using trebble hooks... I am looking for some advice on what bait to use, or hooks, or times they hit, just something to put us on some fish.
bass or bass?

Get frozen squid at an Asian supermarket. That's all I use for channel cats anymore and I outfish those around me nearly every time. It is very tough and hard for the fish to steal off the hook as well.I caught my largest channel cat on squid last year.

Your plight is a common one while using liver...baitfish and panfish will drive you crazy with that stuff. Don't give up on the cut bluegill or shad, the cats will hit it
if
they are present.

to make the liver stay on the hook get some sawing tred like for the soing buttom on your shrit just warp the liver at the top of the hook and tie knot in it the liver will still be on the hook.
