I live in RI and fish throughout the Southern New England area. The funky weather we have been having over the past 4-6 weeks has made bass fishing real slow. I was wondering if any of you in the area have witnessed the same thing?
Bass do not seem to want to chase cranks, spinners, etc., and you almost have to hit them on the head with your a softbait to get them to bite. If anyone fishing the area is doing well, please help a fellow fisherman out. Thanks.

I'm near the same area, I'm in MA and I agree, the fishing's been tough lately. A few weeks ago I got some bass in a trout stocked pond with a Rainbow Trout color Acme Little Cleo near some brush. Basically matching the hatch in this situation worked well, try giving it a shot and see what you come up with

I have witnessed a strange pattern this spring also. Here in southern Ohio, we had some really warm conditions early. I don't know if it confused the bass or what, but they spawned so early, they kind of missed the pre-spawn feeding binge. Now...when they are post-spawn and usually a tough bite...are putting the feedbag on! Anyone else had unusual patterns this spring?

Ashes to ashes, dust to dust, if it wasn't for my super smooth carbon drag, my 30 year old Trilene would bust!
