My favorite method is as much place as style, I just love small to medium streas with ultra-litie spinning or fly rod. There is just so much relaxation in the sound of flowing water and the breeeze in the trees. Mostly I use lures but sometimes I use bait and the UL spinning excells at that. Bad part is that with the knees and one hip going, it is a lot harder to do the wading. Rob, did you get any use out of the Yakima stuff?

I like to drift 'yarnies' with light gear. Spoons are cool. Really like to drift Dick Nites. |

It really depends on the conditions and type of water I'm fishing love throwing flies dry and nymphs in rivers and creeks, trolling with spinners (Love the super duper here in Oregon) on lakes o small ponds, But my go to technique is a drop shot with live bait. There are countless ways to fish it and it is just deadly for any species.

I have been a fly fisherman for years but when i did a lot of spin fishing when i was younger first spinner i would tie on was a black or brown rooster tail the produced some really nice trout. My second option was a yellow tiger striped or a yellow 5 of diamonds daredevil, had good results on those as well. |
