I was thnkng a good piece may be to have an all encompasing discussion of batteries. We all use them for various aspects of our sport. Boat starters, deep cycles, Gels and glass wraps, wet and no maintanace, Not just 12 volt boat batteriaes but those used in hand held GPS, Headlamps like old Nicads, newer NiMh, lithiums,. It would be great to see an article that discusses scientificly the ins and outs of each chemistry type. best applications-benefits and draw backs - best charging scheduals for storage in different temperatures - effects of memory where applicable (and where it's not) - saftey - the whole useless concept of "reserve minutes" (what the heck is that supposed to be at unknow draw amps???) VS the reality of Amp hours. Maybe even some info on the math for charge times vs use for folks with old school timed charggers VS auto shutoff. Just a sed thought...I am sure there is plenty more to be asked that I don't know are even factors...
