    Looking for some good gar resipies. I've had gar nuggets, smoked gar and gar gumbo but I'm looking to try something differant.

    Looking forward to responses here. I've never eaten gar but if they can make hot dogs out of those crazy Asian carp there's probably potential in a spotted gar.

    just make sure yuo do not eat the eges from gar's... they will kill you .......
     other then that gar is good eating, try some gator.

    Take a pine plank 3" longer than the gar and drive a nail through the gar's head into the plank. Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Place gar on plank into oven and bake for 45 minutes. Remove plank with gar from oven. Remove nail from gar's head. Toss nail and gar in trash and eat plank!!!!
