This goes out to all the active meets that have been meeting for multiple years now. Is there any reason(that anyone is sure of) that the club does not support or assist in member meets? I think an annual article in the mag would help keep everyone in touch. I for one have been hoping for a few years now to attend a meet, but it just hasn't worked out for me yet. I think it would be great if once a year the club could post an after meet article to let us all know how they are. I think that would end up being an article that members look forward to on a yearly basis. Any thoughts?

Sounds like a great idea to me Bassbum....but everything lately around here seems to be falling on deaf ears.

Start comin after us any time we get to close. Have to try spraying the heck out of the area after dark tonight. Well shoot, it's dark out now. Guess I'll go out and give it a try.

    Kentucky Jim,
Be sure to check out turnip's thread "Who caught a fish today?" It is under Miscellaneous...most of the folks on here have been posting their fishing results there.

I think it would sell members to be more active. That usually translates into spending more money. They just don't get it.

We have sent in countless write ups and pictures from the La crosse meet in Wisconsin over the years to the editors.. not to mention we even sent them an E-mail asking them to join us and we've even offered to reserve them a campsite. " Their reply was/is that they do not want to single out any one meet by attending and or doing a write up as it is not far to the others ..." ???? One would think that it should be on the top of the list of things to do and print !!!!! after all without us members there would be no club or meets

how about it Kurt .. are you interested ???

Perhaps the new "Top Dog" of the club will have a different response...That person wouldn't have to attend each meet every year. Just attend A different meet each year...perhaps just wishful thinking...

If they won't let her come in person maybe we could talk then into sending us a life size cardboard cut out of the NEW HOST that way she could be in all the meet group picture LOL  once each meet is over we could put it in the box with the fishing tie and send her to the next meet LOL LOL

That's funny BUT it could be a great idea also a way for the club to be at ALL meets.
On the write ups for the meets sent to the club....how about we ALL send them in when the last meet is over. Each meet would/could be then put in the mag as the whole deal for the year !!!!!

I did a write-up on the last Gwinn meet I attended and it was published in the Gwinn Chamber of Commerce paper. too bad the club isn't interested in stuff like that

Since there hasn't been any activity from VTT we can only hope he is forever gone. The club could print some articles about member meets. The meets don't need to be sanctioned by the club, just articles acknowledged that these meets take place. I think alot of fisherman would then be interested in the club and the meets. Win win.

As RT explained, we have tried for several years to get a club rep to just "show up" at a member meet. No interest in us or our activities unless it improves the bottom line...sad...

My guess is the owners of the club or should I say club's are using them to make money and not fisherman themselves.
