Exciting news--FishingClub.com is getting a new look! However, it means the site will be down starting at approximately 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 and should be operational again by 12 a.m. on Wednesday, July 4. The site will be getting a new look and feel that we hope enhances your experience. With this change, there will be a few bumps in the road that you might find before we do. Please post any issues here (screen shots are helpful) and we will fix them as soon as possible. Thanks for bearing with us.

Why does this announcement fill me with a sense of impending doom? Seems every time an attempt has been made to improve this site, the opposite has occured! Not to say there aren't many problems here, case in point I am writing this at 5:20PM CDT and the time stamp on Kurt's post is almost 4 hours in the future!

The site looks way better. However, the text in the forums is much smaller. It is hard to read, even for me, and I am only 27 and have 20/20 vision. Also, nothing except the appearance of the site has been improved. I hate to be so negative but I mean come on. I guess I was expecting a little more. I guess something is better than nothing!

Hi Kurt. I don't see a button on any of the Forum pages to "Log Off" / "Sign Out".

One of the few places in the world where an improvement rarely is! I will admit there doesn't seem to be the disaster that has often accompanied "upgrades" here, but no real improvements other than astetic (sp?) So much for progress!

Hey guys, I'm the new internet development manager for the NAMG club sites and I'm glad to hear that you like the new look and that this was a smoother upgrade than some in the past. I just popped on to let you know that we're not done yet. We're going to be reorganizing some of the pages and content so that the menus make more sense and clean up some a lot more of the common areas. (Fonts, padding, buttons, etc. The add reply button above is a good example of what I'm talking about.) We're being cautious about the content re-org because some of our content, some of your bookmarks, and the stuff that google and bing have indexed will be located in different parts of the site. If in the coming days you find links that don't work please report them here because it could be due to that.

Anyway, Kurt posted this thread for those kinds of issues but if things are for the most part good with the looks let's turn this in to a list of what features aren't working correctly. (Screenshots and links would be helpful.) IMHO, this site has reached a fraction of it's potential for this club and together I think we can make it the best fishing site, period, and making the stuff we have now work would be a nice first step.

    Thanks in advance,

    Lloyd

Good morning all. Thanks for the great comments. I'm glad that you like the new look, and as Lloyd pointed out--we're not done yet. One quick note: Login/Logout is at the top-right corner of the screen. While we are striving to make the transition seamless, you'll no doubt find some things that need attention before we do. Please be sure to post them here and the team will get them fixed as soon as possible. Kurt, NAF Editor

I like the attitude I hear from Lloyd, but experience tells me to take a wait and see attitude. So far what I see is a fresh coat of paint on a condemned building.

I like the black background, but there are a couiple of issues that I noticed.
    1. Under the North American Fishing Club banner, and above the twitter, facebook, product testing area is a big white blank. However, when I run my cursor over it, Home, benefits, members, etc pop up.

    2. I see no log in/log out spot anywhere on any page.

    3. I see no link to contact customer service or any other place at HQ for that matter.

I just got a message from Burt welcoming me to the club. I have been a lifer since 2003, and I seem to have gotten another member number. I would like to contact someone about that.

    Thanks,

    Salty Dan

Dan...I have the log in/out in the upper right hand corner of the homepage.

Dave, it didn't show up for me until I restarted my computer.
You should see the new rod and reel I got for my wife. I feel like it was a pretty good trade.
