Hello all. I was denied access to view the poster's request for info. on how to catch pike from shore. Most of my life long fishing has been from shore around the world and around the states. I have caught pike on deep diving crank baits, in-line spinners, spinner baits with white skirts tipped with a yellow grub, spoons, buzz baits and night crawlers. I was not able to read the lady's message so do not know where she is doing her fishing but can only advise her to keep trying until she finds something that works for her. I hope this helps. |

Hi, for pike i like minnows or small sunfish on #2 hook w/a bobber. Good for bass too. Often local fishermen have favorite tequniques 4 area u r in. For anyspecies using worms my favorite is use only a swivel and #4 snelled hook w/half a crawler-the slow sink seems natural to all fish. 4 bigger fish i use a longshank gold snelled hook w/single blade gold spinner#6. |

Lately Ive been having success with Sebile hard swimbaits and spoons tipped with a soft plastic (usually the tail of a grub/worm) also try rubber skirted bass jigs.

super fluke in bubble gum color and swim jigs seems to work for me. been pretty lucky with a bucktail jig a few times. live bait like a perch seem to work very well also. best of luck |
