    i have a pond in my sub i got the ok to stock. i have been wondering  about what fish farm i should go to and what fish i should buy. I really want spme deyveristy from the normal bass and catfish routine. the pond has bluegill, sunfish, carp, is about an acre and around 6- 12 ft deep any ideas?

    Perch and crappie maybe? Do you know if its aerated or if the fish get killed over winter? That's going to limit the size they can grow to.

    Check with your state's Cooperative Extension Service. Normally they have some good guides and stocking ratios and sources. I definitely would not stock crappie in a one-acre pond.
    You should see the new rod and reel I got for my wife. I feel like it was a pretty good trade.

    the pond is arated in the summer but has holes in the ice in the winter knowc anything else? no fish die in the winter so far

    Here's the guys to call Imaly City fish farm they are located in the thumb and are the best place to get stocking fish I know of. They carry most species and will tell you what you need to successfully grow them. I am the head of our private lakes fishing assn. and we tried several other fish farms and these guys know their stuff. They only stock certain fish certain times of the year.
