    Okay people.  So this is a mystery fish. Not to me, but to most of you I bet it is.  I want your best guesses on what species it is!  And here is a hint: its not a sucker fish or a carp.  So what is it!? Whoever guess correctly wins!

    that looks like a pike minnow or as we call tehm here in California a Squaw fish

    As Homer Simpson would say, "Doh!" Yes! You are correct. I live in Washington and we have them here as well. We also call them Squawfish. Caught this 3 pounder yesterday. They are a "junk fish." I was hoping this thread would go on a little longer before someone guessed it right but... Oh well! You win!

    I believe it is now listed as a "Rocky mountain minnow" in Idaho due to complaints about using the word "Squaw". How stupid! It will always be a Squawfish to me as it has been for over 65 years.

    Yep. Same here. It will always be a Squawfish to me as well!

    Yeah, pretty much.  They are a junk fish. In certain areas here they actually have a cash bounty on them.  Like 3 dollars a fish.
