removing glue from boat

    Hi,
     I am need of help!  I am trying to removing Carpenter glue off the seats of my aluminum 12 ft. boat.  Can anyone give me some suggestions????  The reason I need to do this is my brother put sponge cushions on the seats and used carpenter glue to attach them (Dud!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!).  They have been on the boat for about 3 yrs.  I removed the cushions but cannot get the glue off.  PLEASE help!!!!!

    I would try ( goof off ) I have use this on alot of thing's and it alway's works...good luck...........JOHN

    Almost anything that works will leave you with damage to the finish on the seats unless they are bare metal, so be prepared to sand and repaint or polish the metal.

    Pegsguy is right. I'd try acetone. If that won't remove it then power sand, acetone, and refinish the seats.
