Okay, so I was just sent the Trophy Life Member Upgrade packet in the mail. Funny how the club rarely sends out test products but it only takes them two weeks after I have paid off my Life Member dues for them to then send this to me asking for MORE money.  As far as I can see its just a money grab by the NAFC. I mean, what do I even get? It says discounts on fishing gear but come on. Yeah right. That's what they said before when I was offered the Life Membership. Maybe if they offered another rod reel combo I would be on board. So fellow members, I know this topic has been discussed previously but I would like to hear everyone's opinion. Trophy Member worth it? Yay or nay!?

Got my patch in the mail two days ago. If the discounts were at places I buy from, it might not be a bad deal, but not worth it for me.

None of those things really are appealing to me RT. The money spent for the Trophy Membership exceeds the so called savings you get. I really think if they offered something similar to the rod and reel combo, like a NAFC leather jacket or cool knife with your name engraved on it something like that, then more members would be on board for becoming Trophy Members. I know I love my Life Member rod and reel combo!

Of course it is. And it works in a lot of ways. But i'm not shelling out all that extra money to become a Trophy Member when I will basically receive nothing in return except for the "prestige."
