Hee hee...better hope you don't catch too many...it could get expensive.
Ashes to ashes, dust to dust, if it wasn't for my super smooth carbon drag, my 30 year old Trilene would bust!

This is a popular theory here in Oregon as well. It is especially popular among salmon fishermen. I don't know if anyone can prove it, but a number of people think that fish (regardless of their size) that are caught on a lure leave a scent behind that repels other fish. The easy and cheap solution to this is to wash lures in non-ultra Joy (lemon scent) after each trip. This is probably the only everday soap that fish do not mind. I have no proof that this is true, but it is treated as a fact among salmon fishermen where I am from. It is used by guides and everyday fishermen alike. I myself wash all of my lures in it after each trip. It seems to work not just for salmon, but for anything I fish for. My lures never lose effectiveness after washing.
