I've been fishing a lot lately and just wondering if anybody else is getting out there?  In the last month I've been striper fishing San Luis, bass and blue gill fishing Pine Flat, trout fishing Kern River and Kings River and tomorrow morning the Mrs. and I are going fly fishing for bass at Eastman.  We like tossing foam frogs and the bass just tear them up.  Yeah, we usually don't get large bass that way, but it's still a lot of fun.  Once it slows down we'll start tossing Senkos before we call it a day.  Back in July I was float tubing for trout on Wishon and float tubing for sand bass and halibut under the Coronado Bridge in San Diego.  Now that was a lot of fun.

Wishon always seems to be a great lake for spending the day chasing trout. For some reason, we always did better up the road in Courtwright. Unfortunately, that road is only open for a few months of the summer.

Well, when I am home in June, looking at hitting Wishon again or Shaver. The boys would like to take grandpa out on the boat.

Heading to Bass Lake tomorrow (just a little NE of Fresno) for some bass fishing tomorrow with the Mrs. Three Aprils ago a bass pro friend of mine showed me where he caught two 11# plus bass back to back under two different docks. In the last couple of years, those docks have been bone dry during this time of year, but I want to beat him out there tomorrow to give it a shot. Throwing a little of everything. Senkos, split shotting, ripbaits, super flukes, etc. to elicit some good strikes. I guess we'll see how that goes.

Took my father and my boys out trolling on Shaver before heading to Texas. We did pretty good trolling the east side of the lake.

We have Memorial Day plans to camp and fish at San Luis Reservoir for stripe{1}****ting the lake with the boat, wind permitting. Otherwise, a lot of bank fishing. We'll be camping at Basalt Campground. If anyone is interested.....
