    If the weather doesn't freeze the lake over, I usually winterize my boat around Thanksgiving. Some years it is earlier and a couple times it has been later. Then it is wait until the ice gets safe and grab the ice shanty , short rods and ice auger and head out on the hard water.

    Almost got some gear out yesterday. It's hunting season but the weather feels more like fishing season. 60's today.

    We are going to try and make it out once yet, maybe Friday or Saturday. After that will just have to see when ole man winter shows up for for the season.
