Next year might be a tough one for fishing. So I'm going to keep my goals simple. I hope to get together and fish with friends.

I plan on catching fish every month in 2013. Not just one fish, but at least 2. AND... get to Truman to fish with Steve.

Taking a scenic drive today,.. I discovered a whole new cove area of Harry S. Truman Lake to fish, With a nice homemade boat ramp..!!

On top of that, a friend I see weekly. will now let me fish in his Strip Pits. By bank or Boat. !!

Going to be an interesting fishing year for sure.

My 2012 year was no where as good as I had hoped. Some of it was because of medical problems and some mental (the round tuit or get your tail in gear kind).
I am going to try to get out a couple of times after Christmas and have my license ready for the New Year. I do have a cystoscopy scheduled for early January and the results from that may decide what happens a few weeks later. Hopefully I will get a little more freedom of movement.

They catching some nice holdover trout and stripers in the river and I want some!!!!!!

    My goals are as follows:

    - Beat my personal record Northern Pike (it stands at 38")

    - Catch a Flathead Catfish

    - Not to loose any more poles (last year was a bad year for equipment damage)

    - Catch a double-digit bass (unlikely, but certainly possible)

    - Catch a gar (any species)

These goals aren't too shabby!  I guess we'll have to see how the new year pans out!

I didn't come close to my goals in 2012, which is really sad considering I'm hardly working any longer.  I will keep them the same for 2013 and hopefully make a better effort.

    Yeah,
Missed a couple months of primetime Steelhead fishing.

Should have been rock hopping on the coastal rivers.
Instead I was here.  Notice the crutches laying behind me.  They didn't work so well in the river rock.

The biggest problem was gaining the confidence in the leg to go back to walking the bank.  It is just now allowing me o walk the banks without a lot of swellig and pain after.

Jeremy & I are planning to do two Bass Tourneys this year. One will be in March and the other in May. I, once upon a time, used to fish a good number of tourneys. Then along came the stork. Jeremy is 16 now and I think we stand a good chance of showing well. Wish us luck!

I like fisherfanitics idea, personal bests, doesn't matter what they are, just so you get a shot.
Heal well Dave, I truly know what it is like to barely able to go down a bank and to have all the body parts complain at you.

I've got one fish for January, my goal was at least two fish/mo, in the summer no problem. These winter months are more tricky. I was thinking I'd go tomorrow and try to take the tie. I visited some ponds and part of the ice is gone. Then I went to weather.com. 90% chance of rain, when I go to the hourly breakdown 0% chance in the next 6 hours. IDK about you guys, but 90% chance and 0% chance seem to be on opposite extremes. The rain starts at midnight and goes all day tomorrow. We need it so maybe I'll just miss this goal, or maybe I'll sneak out in a dry patch.
