It might be a good idea to post this in the Washington State section. I know for a fact that there are at least 2 members in the general area of Seattle and both of them are active fishermen. Even if they are unable to meet with you, perhaps they can make some suggestions as to the best places to start.

Jsummers, are you actually going to be in Seattle or the area? We have quite a bit of fishing opportunities in the area. From nearby lakes and rivers to salt water fishing too. I don't know about catfish but I understand there's decent bass in Lake Washington. You might look up basbandit here on the club site. If you can get in touch with him, he's a good resource.

I tried sending basbandit an e-mail since it{1}**** and miss for him on here. I might be able to point you in a direction for the bass depending on where you'll be and how much time you have but I wouldn't have a clue about the cats. If you'd like- send me a P/M and I'll see what I can do. Good luck!

HI Jsummers: I know you talked to Porber about the fishing in the Seattle area and he told you to contact me. If you will be having access to a boat while your here Lake Washington is your best bet for Smallmouth bass. As far as cats go I have no idea. I know there are a few lakes that have cats in them but witch ones is beyond me
