    Two of my co-workers went to the Maumee river this afternoon (without me) ... I have GOT to find some better friends!

    I used to live a mile from the Maumee river in Defiance Ohio. It is no more than a sewer drain from fort Wayne. Ind. It is one of the nastiest rivers i have ever seen. I fished it a couple times but it was like salmon or steelhead fishing here shoulder to shoulder.In the summer that river smells so bad you could smell it 3 miles away.

    Made it into work today - my buddies said the water was so low they couldn't even get their small rowboat up to where they wanted to fsh.
