I tested this knike on channel catfish and lots of rainbow trout, this thing still hasn't needed sharpening! I would guess anywhere around 60 fish in all. I like how easy it is to clean, the material of the handle washed pretty easily and so did the blad of course. It is an excellent knife for up to medium sized fish, anything over 15 lbs, I would get a longer blade to make it easier, but it has a good sheath. I also tested it on a few large frozen bait fish, and it sliced through them with ease. It also comes with a bit of leather that is tied off to the handle so you can grab it out of the sheath, or to put around your wrist as your cutting your fillet in case it slips in the fish slime lol.
