Berkley Trilene TransOptic is the first nylon monofilament that changes color depending on the amount of UV light. Below the water’s surface, where UV is blocked, the line is clear and nearly invisible to fish. Above the surface, it turns a vivid gold, ideal for line-watchers. It’s durable, sensitive and manageable. Contact Berkley at (800) 237-5539; berkley-fishing.com.

“This line is invisible underwater and strong. Its knots don’t slip.”

“Trilene TransOptic has excellent visibility above the water, which helps keep a tight line for better feel and hooksets.”

Just spend the 10.00$ and buy some. if you are planning on using monofilament i would recommend this line. i have it on both a spinning and casting reel and prefer it hands down to "normal" monofilament. i do not get as many line twists as i did with other monofilaments. it works well in many applications from slip bobber fishing to drop-shotting.

I fished with simular line from Trilene years ago. It was called Tri-Max and was photo-chromatic just like this stuff. I currently have a Crappie rod spooled up with it and I hope it is a good as the Ttri-Max was.
