This device sets the hook when fish bite, and the cupped end keeps the fish hooked. It works in fresh- or saltwater, and features a chum strip that can hold fish attractant. Consult state regulations before using in your area.

“This durable device is great for steelhead and salmon fishing, because fish don’t get off the hook. It also doesn’t rust.”

“This is a tough tool that catches fish. It triggers fast, is well-designed and easy to use.”

this item sounds kinda cool but i dont get how it would set the hook and i snag alot and have to break my line often i fish in a lil river alot of roots concrete and underwater plants so i would lose it anyway plus setting the hook yourself is part of the sport of it sometimes i just use small hooks and leave my gear for 5 to 10 minutes run up the bank and eat berries come back down and theres usually a fish on

I do agree that it takes away the sport. Unless i'm using a trot line on leaving my bait in the water over night, i'm not using this.
