I had a few reels that were rough and not very smooth when I bought them (on clearance), took the reels apart and cleaned and greased with kit. 10 dollar reels felt like 100 dollar reels.

Ardents products are great! I use all the cleaning products and "line conditioner", also a few of their reels, depending on the abuse and maintenance your old reels will perform better. And it is All American Made!
