Shock rods handle the increased stress loads caused by small diameter, no-stretch superlines. The blank’s carbon-fiber construction adds strength while the Strike Amplifying Tip and suspending reel seat maximize sensitivity. Several length and actions are available, including the 7-foot medium-light tested. Contact Berkley at (800) 237-5539; berkley-fishing.com.

It's my birthday on the 7th and I'm looking for a rod and reel before opener on the 14th. I need a rod that is 6 - 6-6" med to heavy and a spinning reel 8 to 10 ballbearing that can handle 20 to 30 # fireline. I troll and cast alot on the river and need something that will hold up to the job. Put me something together and I'll send you a check. Please hurry!
