“This rod has a great feel, an excellent action and awesome sensitivity. It’s better than many of my other rods that cost two to three times as much!”

ive never tried a ugly stick LITE! my brother has a bass pro shop brand lite rod but twice it has came apart unexpected just from casting. definatly dont want that when your hook is set on a trophy fish. i have a ugly stick and this bad boy has been bring up some fighters: 9lb rainbow trout, 13.2lb carp, and 17.6lb catfish, so ugly stick is a good brand. i wanna try this lite for jigs and see how long it stays in the fight.

I own Ugly Sticks in Ultralight, Light, and Medium. I use the UL and L for most fishing (walleye, bass, perch, bluegill, catfish...) The Medium is mainly used for Muskie, Northern Pike and Trout. Best rods for the money. Caught a 27 inch walleye on the ultra light and a 44 inch Northern pike on the medium.

I have 3 older UGLY sticks and have caught many Bass, Pan-fish and some Northern Pike with them. I have never had a problem with them. My Dad still has some OLD UGLY sticks and has always told me to buy them. I would love to try the UGLY stick Light. GOOD RODS for the money.

i have heard about the ugly stick but never used one, how dfferent is this one compaed to the ugly sticks that walmart sells, i bought one for my oldest son from walmart and he caught a 12 and a half pound walleye and snapped the pole in half. it was a heck of a fight too, lasted for about 17 minutes till the fish finally gave up.

I've owned an ugly stick 6'6" Med fast since 1996 and pulled everything from 15lb salmon to 30lbs paddle fish, in 2005 the tip finally broke from lifting a 20" walleye up a 15' lookout dock! 10yrs of hard fishing! went out and bought exactly the same 1 but with the cork style. Ugly stick FTW!
