Is the product only designed to mount on a roof rack or is there an alternative way to mount this to a vehicle?

have never seen this rod carrier before. it would make carring my rods on camping trips much easier. i would love to test one

I never thing that carrier before I will leave more space inside plus the grandkids will ride better withoutthe rods in place I will like to test one
