“I recently traveled to Afghanistan and Hawaii, and was able to track my movements and share the live tracking with family and friends. It’s extremely useful and versatile.” |

“It certainly gave my wife peace of mind when I’ve been fishing by myself in poor weather. Plus, it lets me look at my track and get GPS positions for reference.” |

I have had my SPOT for a year. I will not get rid of it until they come out with something much much better. I was able to track my week long sailing trip on Lake Michigan, trips down the Blackwater, Chowan and Nottoway rivers, fishing trips in the Chesapeake Bay, and trips on land. I have the BoatUS help option. The piece of mind both for me and my wife is priceless.

I would love to test this product. What Ive learned is the best places to fish is "where the water leaves the road." Some of the places me and my fishing buddies find ourselves are off the beaten path to say the least. Plus in the mountains of West Virginia cell phone service is spotty at best. This would be a great addition to my fishing pack which already includes survival gear, emergency blanket, water, food, firstaid kit, several lighting systems, compass, multitool, insect repellent and sunblock, 25' of rope, whistle, signal mirror and fire starting kit.
