Don Skinner and Curtis McCormick finished strong to win a wild shootout among 74 of the West’s top walleye anglers at the Cabela’s Masters Walleye Circuit’s tournament at Lake Pueblo, Colorado.

The NAFC staff has carefully chosen 10 finalists for the April Outstanding Catch Awards contest. Now it's up to you! Vote for the catch you feel is the most outstanding, considering not only the fish's size, but also the body of water, geographic location and method used.

 “Look at them,” he says, pointing with his rod toward a guide boat crawling across the massive flat. Every angler occupied a seat and gazed sleepily as lines from the trolling rods cut tiny wakes in the water behind the boat. “I’d much rather be doing this than just sitting and watching.”

Twin brothers John and Michael Kopcok of Maidstone, Ontario, finished strong to win a big-fish slugfest among 196 anglers from 12 states and one Canadian province at the Cabela’s Masters Walleye Circuit’s Detroit River tournament.
