You can catch nice size bass almost any place in the USA and a walleye like that are truely a fish of a life time. Great fish.

Marcus i recently mounted a 28 inch walleye and now i want to rip it off my wall and put a replace of that thing on my wall nice catch!

The bass are great to catch at these sizes, but the Cutthroat trout is beautiful fish

nice cut have one on the wall about the same size

id like to see some huge perch or blue gills or crappie i think when you catch them you feel more accomplished

It is nice to see some really big Large Mouths up there. I feel that they are one of the most intense and fun fish to catch. Way to go everyone!

Thanks for participating in the contest and commenting. As some have pointed out, this month's finalists are certainly dominated by largemouth bass. But please understand that the NAFC staff can only choose finalists from the entries we receive....and in the month of July we received a disproportionate number of excellent bass entries and very few quality ones for other species.

Perhaps next month, the tables will turn and you'll see far more crappies or catfish--time will tell! In the meantime, I'll take the opportunity to remind all entrants that they must submit a high-quality, high-resolution (no smatphone images, please) image of their catch, along with their full name, member number, hometown, fish size, body of water, and method/lure used. Those who don't will not be eligible for the contest.

really nice fish

Being that im from the North all the bass look impressive we don't get much over 6lbs . Nice cut throat on a fly rod bet that was fun .

Seeing that my largest largemouth was 5,8 on a spinner bait I have to go with Manuel Dominguez; 12-pound, 12-ounce largemouth bass and on a plastic worm. I also though that Lori Boehme; 22-inch cutthroat trout; Spring Creek, UT; fly was excellent and a very beautiful catch.

Captain Bob Would look better returned and a glass mount made. For every pound of fish there are approx 100,000 eggs that she could lay. Have both kinds in my house A 36 inch musky cought by my 7 year old daughter, 31 pound King cought by my wife Dawn and I have a 31 inch 9 pound 13 ounce walleye. Would never have another mount that was not glass. Look better and last longer!

What's with all of the LM Bass????????

i aint caught a bass like that in a long time way to go

Alot of nice Bass, but you hear of big bass like these being caught all the time. Have to go with that Flathead what a beast.

I think all the bass are nice, the northern looks great, but that's one outstanding walleye. Nice job.

I think all the fish fantastic.Hopefully I can submit a fish comperable to any one of them someday.

I live right on bull shoals lake in arkansas and would love to see a bass like manuel caught..maybe now that i'm a member i'll learn how..i'm still a work in progresse..way to go manuel...by the way lori..beautiful trout.

if any of these bass were northern strain id be more impressed. Northern strain bass don't get near as big as southern strain. I live in PA and have only been fishing bass for 3 years and caught my biggest so far the other week, it was 3 1/2 pounds and 19 1/2 inches long. Caught on a green 6 inch senko. My father-in-law has a 10 pounder mounted on his wall from the same lake. Now THATS a trophy bass!

Not impressed by big Largemouth caught in Texas, California,or Florida. Large fish at those locations are the norm. Outstanding walleye.

Nice fish everyone! Actually nothern LM Bass do get big they just grow slower than the southern strain because of water temperatures. There are some huge LM Bass up here in WA state where i live. and if you think i'm telling a fish story i do have pics. Again everyone awesome fish great job. Good Luck!

manuel great catch , i never seen a bass that big. i wouldn"t mind catching those bad boys myself ,again great catch.

well lets think about this for a moment.... the PA state record LM bass is 11 pounds 3oz. much smaller than the southern states records. and lets think about this again, if northern LM grow slower than southern, AND HAVE THE SAME LIFESPAN, that means they dont reach the same size. and since ur from WA, the record LM bass there is only 6 oz heavier than the PA state record. anything over 12 or 13 lbs is not only amazing but highly unlikely. like the 15.5 pounder from Massachusetts that came out of a "pond." My father-in-law and i fish out of a resivoir that u need a permit to fish at so there is not alot of angler pressure at all and the size of the bass there is ridiculous. a normal size bass there is 15 - 17 inches long, 12 inches being the legal limit. if it were a "public" fishery, i guarantee there would be a new state record bass in there. He used to pull out 6 - 8 pounders all the time years ago.
