We editors at Club Headquarters are lucky guys. Every year we get a special sneak peek at the fishing industry’s top products for the upcoming year—sometimes as long as several months before that gear actually hits store shelves. It happens every July when we troll the aisles of the International Convention of Allied Sportfishing Trades (ICAST). The only thing better is being able to share our inside scoop with NAFC members.
It’s a fun, important task and we take it seriously, as these products aren’t just catalog filler—they are the gear that will shape the way we all fish in the coming year, and decades to come. And if the crop of baits, rods, reels, line, electronics and more that we saw at the show are any indication, great times are ahead.
