A new wireless remote from Bob's Machine Shop in Tampa, Florida, allows anglers to adjust the height of their jackplate using a key fob from anywhere—on or off the boat.

The push-button control is ideal during docking or trailering when there is limited access to the dash-mounted switch, plus it allows anglers to raise the main engine remotely from the bow when trolling, or from the tower of a big bay boat.

Kit components include a waterproof key fob transmitter, a small receiver mounted near the jackplate's hydraulic pump, and necessary cables for connecting the receiver to the existing wiring harness. It’s compatible with all BMS jackplates and works independently from the boat's dash-mounted switch.
